Meet Charlotte

My Passion

Hello there. I’m Charlotte. I have a passion for helping guide people to live their best lives, centered in hope and peace. As a John Maxwell Certified Coach, I bring my decades of experience in business leadership and the wisdom gained in my own personal journey to guide people to success.

You know that quiet voice inside? That quiet internal hope that the best is yet to come? Sometimes life can nearly drown out that still small voice with the busyness of daily pressures. But as a life coach, I love helping people tune in to that inner wisdom and to clear away the invisible barriers that keep you from living an abundant life! I’d love to help you on your journey to a better tomorrow.

Abundant living starts with acceptance.

None of us are (or will ever be) perfect. It’s in letting go of that expectation of perfection where real contentment begins. Believe me, lasting joy doesn’t come from a job promotion, losing those last five pounds, or from perfectly pleasing everyone else in your life. It comes from embracing who you are right now—messy, imperfect, and beautiful. It is a true honor getting to help people find freedom from chasing after approval or feel stuck in relying on our circumstances or other people for our happiness.

Getting to know me

I’m a tea-drinking, book-loving, outdoor adventuring kind of girl. While I grew up in Missouri and spent most of my life in Oklahoma, I now call the sunny state of Florida home. I’d love to tell you a bit about my story.

My story is varied. I’ve experienced a lot of success in my career, growing businesses and leading others. I’ve been an entrepreneur in some form since high school and succeeded in climbing up the corporate ladder.

And I’ve also experienced the anxiety of living paycheck to paycheck. The shock of losing my job unexpectedly and the growing panic in the pit of my stomach, not knowing what would happen next.

I’m a go-getter' by nature, task-oriented and driven to find success in every aspect of my life.

But in a few seasons of life, I’ve been invited (or forced, depending on how you look at it!) to slow down, to discover that my worth isn’t tied to what I can accomplish.

I am a wife, daughter and friend, a mother and a grandmother—all roles that I cherish and have brought me delight. And yet there have been seasons in my life where I didn’t feel a sense of my own identity, apart from what others wanted or needed me to be. I’ve had moments of realizing I was stuck in the trap of keeping everyone else happy, constantly seeking approval, only to feel like I was always falling short.

I’ve experienced loss and joy, opportunity and suffering, hope and heartache. While your story is likely different than mine, I’m willing to bet you can relate.

You may have had moments, similar to me, of accomplishing goals or arriving at a place you’d been striving for, only to realize you still feel empty. Or maybe life threw you an unexpected curve-ball, leaving you hopeless and unsure of how to move forward.

Believe me. I’ve been there. It’s been those ups and downs in life that have formed who I am today, and now serve as the foundation of my coaching practice. Here’s what I know for sure:

Why Me?

You are not alone.

It’s easy to feel isolated or lonely, especially during times of transition or loss. But that isolation is a lie. And you don’t have to walk through whatever you’re going through alone. What a relief it is to have an empathetic listener hear your story and help you feel seen and heard!  Whether that’s through a coaching relationship with me, or through reaching out to a caring friend, surrounding yourself with wise counsel and supportive people to carry your burdens is one of the best ways to find lasting joy.

The best is yet to come.

I’m a big believer in the magic of thinking—to “look at things not as they are, but as they can be.” (David J. Schwartz) Through examining your thoughts, you no longer have to feel  “stuck” in the circumstances and thought patterns that are no longer working for you. Whether you’re feeling unsure of what the next season holds, or if unexpected circumstances got in the way of your dreams, I can help you can begin building towards a better tomorrow!
